Afuera: An Ultra Racing Story

For 7 days, 22 hours, and 42 minutes Alvin Escajeda raced through peaks and valleys, both literal and figurative, across one of cycling’s most storied mountain ranges, the Pyrénees. The Trans Pyrénees Race is a self-supported ultra-distance race that sends riders from the Atlantic Coast to the Mediterranean Sea and back again, accumulating nearly 2000 kilometers of riding with nearly 40k meters of climbing. Afuera is a film about Alvin’s journey through the mountains in the 5th edition of the Trans Pyrénees Race, directed, filmed, and edited by Ginger Boyd.
